REMOVAL FAQS
For an easy at-home gel removal, you’ll need a nail file, acetone-based removal wraps and a tool to gently lift away the softened gel. Remover clips can also help keep the wraps securely in place and improve contact with the nail.
Want everything in one place? Our Gel Polish Remover Bundle includes the essentials for a complete removal routine.
Gel polish removal should not require pulling, peeling or aggressive scraping. The key is to break the top seal, allow enough time for the remover to soften the gel and then gently remove the loosened product. If the gel doesn’t come away easily, soak it for longer rather than forcing it off.
After removal, you can also give your nails some extra TLC with our Nail Care & Treatments.
After filing the top layer, allow your removal wraps to work for around 15 minutes. The gel should then look cracked, bubbled or lifted and be easy to remove gently. If some areas are still firmly attached, don’t scrape or force them off — simply rewrap the nail and allow a little more time.
Using Remover Clips can help keep the wraps tightly secured around the nails throughout the soak-off process.
No. Peeling or picking off gel polish can remove layers of your natural nail along with the product, leaving nails thinner and more fragile. Always soften the gel properly before gently removing it.
